Measuring Time and Temperature

In this topic, we learn to measure time using calendars and skip counting. We also learn to estimate and measure temperature using thermometers, and convert between units of temperature.

  • Use a calendar to add the number of whole days

  • When using the skip counting method, first count the number of minutes and hours separately and add them together to get the final answer

Topic: Estimate and Measure Temperature

  • To estimate the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit, double the temperature in ºC and add 30 to it

  • The formula for conversion of temperature from degree Celsius to degree Fahrenheit is Temperature in ºF = (9/5) x Temperature in ºC + 32 ºF

  • The estimated temperature and calculated temperature may vary slightly
