  • To compare two (or more) mixed numbers, first compare the whole numbers

  • The number with the greater whole number part is the greater number

  • If the whole number parts are same, compare the fraction parts

  • The number with the greater fraction part is the greater number

Topic: Compare Mixed Numbers and Decimals

  • To compare a mixed number and a decimal, first compare the whole number parts

  • The number with the greater whole number part is the greater number

  • If the whole number parts are same then either change the mixed number to a decimal or change the decimal to a mixed number

  • Compare the numbers after conversion
