Data and Graphs - Extended

When we collect information and show it in an organized way, it is called data. Data can be represented in many forms, such as tables, bar graphs, and pictographs. This concept explores the collection and display of data in various ways. We also learn to find measures that describe data, such as median, mode, and range.
The concept is broken into smaller topics, which makes it easier and much more fun for students. The topics are listed below:-
Collect, Organize, and Represent Data
In this topic, we learn to represent and analyze data in frequency tables and line plots.
Line Graph
In this topic, we learn to read and make line graphs. We also learn to locate and plot a point on the graph.
Pictograph and Bar Graph
In this topic, we learn to make and read pictographs and bar graphs. We also learn to read double bar graphs and stacked bar graphs.
Range, Mean, Median, and Mode
In this topic, we learn to find the range, mean, median, and mode for a set of data.
Stem and Leaf Plots and Histograms
In this topic, we learn to make and read stem-and-leaf plots and histograms.
